BOUDOIR FAQ’s

What type of clothes should I bring?
Bring several outfits that you feel good in. Bring lingerie, an evening gown, leather jacket or fur coat. Avoid patterns. Bring fun or sexy hats, gloves, scarves, shoes, boots, stockings, and accessories.

If you would like to replicate a specific image or style you should discuss it before the day of your shoot. Collect images to email or give to Michael and we will recreate your vision and exceed your expectations!

Should I bring anything else?
Bring a hairbrush or comb and hairspray if you are doing the shoot with out a stylist. Women, bring powder, blush and lipstick. Also, bring your favorite music on CDs if you wish.

How should I wear my hair and makeup to the session?
If you are using a hair and makeup stylist, come with your hair freshly washed and dried and a clean face (no makeup whatsoever). Get plenty of sleep the night before your shoot and have your hair cut a week before.

If you are not using a stylist, wear a heavier coat of powder / foundation and a distinctive lipcolor. It is important to use blush to set off your cheeks and mascara, as well.

Can I bring someone with me to my session?
Often women who come in for glamour / boudoir shoots wish to bring a close girl friend with them “for courage.”Equally as many of our clients would feel awkward having someone else at their shoot. Generally, we leave this up to you. However, we do not recommend having more than one person with you as it becomes distracting.

How many photos will you shoot during the session?
Generally, I will shoot around 150 - 180 photos. I will edit out the unusable images and usually narrow the images down to the best sixty or so photos. This will make it easier for you to choose your favorite image(s) to print.

What kind of digital retouching do you do?
We remove unwanted blemishes, bags under the eyes, stray hairs or anything else you want removed from the final image

What costs extra?

11x17 proof page with 6 - 8 edited 2.5 x 3.5”images, $20

We use several professional hair and makeup stylists. Costs range
from $60-$150. While we touch up blemishes, “laugh lines”and circles under the eyes, MNP recommends a stylist for all glamour/boudoir and modeling shoots.

We offer matting, mounting and framing, as well as custom folios and image boxes.

Do you require a deposit?
A deposit of $150 is required as payment towards your session. We need 48 hours notice if you need to move or cancel your session. If you wish to cancel within 48 hours, you will lose your deposit. No exceptions.

When is the remaining balance due?
The remaining balance is due at the time of the session. We accept mastercard / visa, check or cash. If you are using a hair and makeup stylist, she must be paid in cash or with a check on the day of the shoot. If you book the Fine Art package, you may split the balance into payments, however the balance must be paid in full before you will receive your contact sheets.
